sig p320 review

Sig P320 Review - Since my shotgun has been locked up for quite some time, I don't spend a lot of effort looking for the next gun I want to buy. But sometimes a useful innovation makes me sit up, take notice, and think about rethinking my foundation. The Sig P320 is one of those and I've been looking forward to getting my hands on a model other than the full size to try it out.

I recently shot the P320 Carry model in the 9mm chamber, the model model with a full grip. While shooting brought significant challenges to my ingrained habits, I found the experience to be powerful. Especially given some of the features that this Sig Sauer pistol has to offer. Here are my thoughts on the Sig P320 Carry model after putting a few hundred rounds through it this month.

Sig P320 Review

The P320 Carry and holster models are a pistol designed for concealment. The short duration of the slide means it will work for any standard IWB carry: 3-5 hours or more. Unlike many of Sig Sauer's pistol lines, the P320 is bolt-action. According to common sense for a carry gun, there is no external safety or any other external control.

But another reason to consider the P320 Compact or Carry is its chassis system. The serial part is not the bottom frame, but the drive mounted inside the non-serial frame. This means you can change the frames to fit your hand size (sm, md, lg) - even from full size to subcompact - and switch from 9mm in Sig .357 to .40 to .45ACP without changing from one set. weapon to another. I think this is a beautiful system for a modern gun.

For the purpose of this review I shot the Carry 9mm model, which has a standard design and a large grip. Both are identical to the standard model (only a 2/10" difference in overall height). The Carry model, however, has 2 additional rounds in the magazine compared to the comparable model.

The first thing I noticed is that even though the P320 is an assault weapon, it is designed like a hammer pistol, with a beavertail and a large axis. Because of this setup, I was worried that the muzzle flip would appear for no reason while firing. I found that even though the muzzle has a larger muzzle than it does on the equivalent Glock 19, and its lower end, the P320 isn't too bad.

The most important difference here from what I am used to shooting is that the button on the P320 is more on the right side than the Glock. It's a standard Sig grip, like a 1911. This means that initially my sight had the muzzle pointing down in the correct position and it took a few shots to remember to adjust it. so that my publisher can set the scene. inside. fit well. Once I did, though, shooting the P320 was a pleasure, mainly because of its excellent quality.

Review] Sig Sauer P226

The grip of the P320 is huge. It feels a little fat because it's more rounded on the sides than most grips. Even with the grip full of feel, my average hand had no problem getting a good position on the trigger. I found it quite comfortable. Of course if you don't like the size of the box, you can always change the frame for a larger or smaller one, at a lower cost.

There is a little more recoil than I find in most trigger guns, but by placing my thumb support-hand forward on the avedown lever I found it easy to control recoil. I had no problem firing strings of multiple shots in quick succession and at multiple targets, so this gun had no problem controlling it. With a 17-round magazine for the model and 15-rounders for the pack, the capacity is exactly what I expect. Interesting to note that the prototype model is only 2/10" taller than the comparable model, but you get 2 extra rounds in the mag.

The trigger on the P320 is without a doubt the best I have felt on any polymer, shotgun. If I could get that kind of feel and action in my shots, I would do it in a heartbeat. I suspect some people will appreciate the lack of a trigger-safety that sticks out of the shoe, giving the trigger a more comfortable fit in your wrist.

Sig P320 Review

The Sig P320 frame is awesome. Because of the modular chassis, you can change the frames for more grip, color, sample size, and even the room without changing (serializing) the weapon. The frames are available for about $46 in three colors: black, flat black, and OD green; and they are all available in small, medium and large sizes to fit the size you want. For an armorer/tinker like me this is a wonderful and encouraging innovation. Lots to play with! I notice that the size of the frame is quite soft, like all other polymer pistols it will be useless if your hands are sweaty or bloody. Installation is required.

Sig P320 Xten Review

The sights are steel, 3 point or sight and the rear has a nice flat front design for easy one handed sliding. I found them easy to pick up on sight when shooting and switch to different targets.

The magazines are metal, with polymer base plates, and are very well built. They are released free of charge. They vary between P320 and P250 depending on the size. Unlike other steel mags, these don't really hurt your thumb when loading rounds into them. The external controls on the gun seem to be well organized to me and the magazine release is retractable. The ski has a front and rear with excellent design and the frame of the bike makes it possible to get a flashlight or laser. I like the fact that the bottom of the grip has a cutout for better grip on the main magazine plate; useful for malfunctions where the mag tends to stick.

Although this is only a gun review and I have not put the gun, the P320 has a simple and safe. A switchable take-off lever allows it to be removed without tools or triggers, which provides an additional level of safety for four careless. The interior includes a driver's safety and a safety cutoff.

The P320 frame can be changed for color or just fit, and even from a full-size comparison with different brands. The trigger is as good as you'll find for a polymer, shot gun. The ingredients are right out of the box and the dos and don'ts are good to go here. You get two magazines and the gun. For me, this is the only gun I've come across that can tempt me from my current daily routine.

What's Special About The Sig P320 [2022]

As a shotgun, the P320 is a bit wider than you'd expect. For comparison, while the Glock runs 1.18" in diameter the P320 is slightly smaller at 1.4", which may affect how you choose to carry it. The hammer-like design of this shotgun leaves a large hole, adding to the feel and muzzle flip. Use the trigger lever as a thumb rest for control functions, but this is probably not the best configuration when shooting hundreds of rounds in a session (long then wipe my thumb with a tissue).

With the large-sized and comfortable frame, the only knock on the ergonomics of the axles are the large holes and different (for me) grip angles. Many will be familiar with this angle.

I have no complaints about his accuracy. I remember I had to use a stop at 6 to 25 yards.

The P320 Carry will not be able to be concealed like the comparable model, because the handle is a little longer. Also, at 1.4" wide the P320 is not the thinnest gun you will encounter.

Sig P322 Guns And Gadgets

The amount of good stuff here is compelling and may even tempt me one day to put my special emphasis on Glocks as my go-to gun. The chassis design is interesting and I wonder if other manufacturers will try it.

If you're a shooter, the Sig P320 is a gun you should check out and evaluate...for all its good qualities. Rent this gun and try it out (I noticed that the Eagle Gun Range has a full sample and take it in their rental box). I bet you will be impressed on many levels.
